Gopal Amin

Founder, Golden Ratio

Gopal Amin is a leader with the soul of an explorer. Regarded as an innovator who often pushes the envelope in a constant and unwavering pursuit to deliver value to all involved – clients, investors, employees and society at large.

Gopal completed his engineering from the US in the late 80s to return to India to join Kirloskar Oil Engines. After a five-year stint, he moved to head Kirloskar Copeland - India’s leading compressor manufacturer, as its MD and CEO. He grew the top line of the Company five-folds while at the helm.

The explorer in him awakened again in 2000, and he embarked on the journey to build SLK Global Solutions and SLK Software Services alongside his brother as a private family business. His passion for building institutions shone again as he pioneered the development of technology solutions to service the US financial institutions and grew SLK from a start-up to a company with a revenue of over $70 million. Once an explorer, always an explorer, Gopal recently exited SLK after its successful acquisition by Coforge and is now jumping into an entirely new industry.

When he is not busy building his businesses, he beams his passion for entrepreneurship to young entrepreneurs through his clear business fundamentals and guiding principles, making him an invaluable mentor.

He is a proverbial family man and thinks of his professional team as his family too, and no wonder most of his teammates have always stood with him. When he is not surfing the tides of business, he can be spotted in gear surfing the waves as he is also a passionate and competitive national level windsurfer.

Prabir Talati

Director & Group Advisor

Prabir has over 27 years of professional experience creating and realising value for shareholders through over two dozen transactions aggregating over US$ 1.2 billion in enterprise value. This includes 15 years in private equity investing as a buyer and seller of businesses through which he brings an investor, business owner, and Board member’s perspective; and six years in an investment bank, where he advised on the first management buy-out in India in the consumer sector.

Prabir Talati supports industrialists and entrepreneurs as an experienced, trusted and confidential sounding board for their aspirations during inflection points in their businesses.

Prabir serves as a Board member and Group strategic adviser to the Pune based Golden Ratio Funds promoted by the Family Office of Mr. Gopal Amin. Previously, Prabir served on the Board of SLK Global Solutions till April 2021, a multinational business process management joint venture with a US Bank serving US customers where he was the transaction adviser to the Bank, and the Founder and Promoter, Mr. Gopal Amin, for a controlling stake sale to Coforge at a >US$ 200m equity value.

Vivek Bajpai

Chief Operating Officer

Vivek Bajpai is the Chief Operating Officer of Golden Ratio. As Chief Operating Officer, Vivek has overall strategic and operational responsibility for the entire portfolio of the offerings of the Company. He has over 22 years of professional experience in which he has worked with leading Business Process Management (BPM) providers such as Infosys, Cognizant, Firstsource and Altisource.

He is a seasoned business professional with the experience of working in multiple geographies - India, Philippines, and the USA and across verticals such as Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI), Utilities and Title and Tax. He is an expert at leading large profitable operations with a deep customer focus.

Vivek is an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Varanasi and Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Lucknow.

Rishi Agarwal

Chief Administrative Officer

Rishi Agarwal brings over 25 years of diverse corporate experience to Golden Ratio. With a master’s degree in Business Management, his experience spreads across a diverse spectrum of industries like technology, IT, heavy engineering, BPM and Consulting.

In his last role at SLK, he was instrumental in leading their people function and regulated high performing HR practices focusing clearly on People, Business, Clients and Technology. Over and above the rewards, compensation, and organizational development, Rishi also spearheaded a collection of CSR initiatives.

Being a widely-travelled professional, Rishi is fond of hiking, and when he is not in Pune, you can find him on a trail.
